My paramedic experience during the subsitute military service between 2016 and 2017 is the trigger for developing this series of art practice, The Ways to Dive into the Galaxy.
Basing on this experience's inspiration, I started to dealing with the question about body images and its production. It is about the question of how can we imagine the body image of the futre from our current data based society. In this series, I deconstructed the written and de-structured the depicted experience (pathological data on the co-shared digital platform) under the gaze of technology into an unknown imagination on future body images, which practice in this study by creating quasi-digital imagery depictions (an imaginary depiction of future bodies in the digital age), a series of fossils of the future, the sediments from the liquid identities and bodies.
I see my practice as a series of perceptual imaginations of the body and identity rooted in the context of digital technology and information based on scientific rationality. I project each element and image in its series in a distant future, this is a future imagination on identity dissolution that produces science as biology, with identity, and even as human experience. An environment of a non-narrative post-technological future: in a time when biological data becomes the axis of future social operation in a society that without narratives, what will the deformation of the body and its image look like?
I don't think is a simple imagination from the utopia or dystopia of technology, but rather a kind of cultural question on the narrative and definition of technology. It is an indeterminate narrative of the posthuman body and its gazing into its vacuum status, an embodiment of sincerity that comes from the revealed body. It is a cultural imagining of the environment and our own bodies that we (humans) take care of in the present and near future by imagining an extreme future.
